³ Following documents, in order of preference; a) a certificate of residency issued by the Brazilian Consulate, b) school records, c) employment records, d) utility bills. It is recommended you provide several sources of proof of residence as customs authorities can require additional documentation at any time.
* Foreign nationals holding a permanent or temporary type V work visa must have the visa stamped on the passport.
** Foreign nationals entering Brazil for the first time should register with the Federal Police within 30 days of arrival to obtain a "protocol" of an ID card.
*** CPF number is mandatory for any shipment to Brazil. CPF is a tax identification number issued to all legal residents.
